LYC 2023 Regatta
Annual sailing regatta at Lochaber Yacht Club for keelboats and dinghies on Loch Linnhe. Visiting yachts and dinghies are welcome to join in.
ENTRIES, open to everyone, are invited from all classes of boat, which will enter the appropriate handicap or class races in the programme. The online entry form is at the bottom of this page.
- Class 1 Keelboats
- Class 2 Solings
- Class 3 Fast Handicap Dinghies,
- Class 4 Slow Handicap Dinghies and dinghies with a Junior helm.
Dinghy handicaps will be set as in the current PY handicap list, but Club Dinghies will be sailed with the adjusted PY handicap. Keelboat h’caps will be set using CYCA. Boats sailing without spinnakers or with non standard rigs will be given an appropriate handicap. Depending on numbers taking part, classes may be given a combined or a separate start.
PROGRAMME
- Saturday – Keelboats 5 races, first start 1100
- Sunday –Dinghies 5 races, first start 1100

PRIZES
LYC Regatta Trophies (not keepers) will be awarded to the winner of each class. Additional prizes will be awarded for all deserving causes! Prizes will be presented at the club at the evening BBQ.
CATERING & SOCIAL
- Saturday lunch: will be soup, filled roll, sweet treat and drink – £5 each, pay in clubhouse (cash or card).
- Saturday: BBQ buffet straight after the last race – Cost Adults £15 & Juniors £7, pay in clubhouse (cash or card).
- Sunday Lunch: will be soup, filled roll, sweet treat and drink – £5 each, pay in clubhouse (cash or card).
Beer, wine and soft drinks on sale. The bar will be open Saturday 2pm till 10pm and Sunday 2pm till 6pm
